“Slapping fines” Truck Driver Fined For Not Wearing Helmet

Traffic police penalties for violating the rules are nothing new. After the central government tightened the traffic rules by raising the fine for fines, police began to impose fines illogically and irrationally in many cities and towns of the country.

One such strange incident took place in Dandeli town in northern Karnataka where the traffic police slapped fine on a truck driver. This has become a big joke after police issued a challan to truck driver Nazir Ahmed, citing that he was not wearing a helmet while driving a Tata truck. The notice was sent to his residence in which he was fined Rs 500 for the violation. Ironically, the police have clearly stated the vehicle’s name “Lorry “.
