VISAKHAPATNAM: The AP government, which is taking all precautionary measures to curb the crime rate in the state, has arrested a seven-member gang, including three women, who are involved in human trafficking at the Vishakhapatnam railway station.
As per the reports of state police have received information about the smuggling of women children from secret sources. Visakhapatnam Railway Police were contacted and a plan was made accordingly.
Police said the seven-member gang was traveling on the Howrah-Yashwantpur train.
On reaching Visakhapatnam station after the Superfast Express No. 7864 departing from Yashwantpur, a team of 100 personnel from civil, intelligence and police departments reached the railway station and took the group under their control.
