TSRTC employees Openly demanded a ‘Chalo Tank Bund’ High Tension At Tank Bund, Police Arrests Ashwathama Reddy

HYDERABAD: Telangana police, who are trying to overcome the unrest in the Tank Bund, arrested RTC JAC convener Ashwathama Reddy from Liberty. Even the police arrested BJP MP Sanjay Kumar, a BJP MP. Police shifted them to a nearby police station. They have used tear gas to chase down people who were forced to head to the Tank Bund. Police had stopped about 2,000 people who had openly demanded a ‘Chalo Tank Bund’.

Police have refused to allow the ‘Chalo Tank Bund’, keeping in view the distress caused by the movement. To prevent the angry employees of the TSRTC from protesting at the Tank Band, they made three-layer security arrangements on the Tank Band. But the furious TSRTC employees removed the barricades and entered the Tank Bund complex.

When about 50 RTC employees moved to the Tank Bund after breaking the barriers to the police, the tank bund was under severe strain. Police had arrested them all. TSRTC JAC unions and employees are protesting throughout the state.The RTC employees, under the leadership of CMKCR, expressed their unhappiness with the Telangana government over these two months’ unpaid salaries.
