Two students drowned, and three others missing In Andhra Pradesh Kalingapatnam Beach

Sirikkalam: The departure of the Kalingapatnam beach in Gara Mandal, Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday became tragic when two intermediate students drowned while three of their friends feared.

According to reports, a group of 6 students who were studying Intermediate second year in Chaitanya Junior College at Srikakulam, Area Police Said that they were  come for an outing to the beach for enjoying the holiday.

They went to sea and were enjoying themselves. However, they did not realize they were being dragged deep into the sea and were caught unconscious when a huge wave hit them and they swept away.

Sheikh Abdullah and Anuparthi Sudhir were rescued while the other three – Parveen Kumar Reddy, Yajniah Panda and Karmori Sandeep – are reported to be missing. Of these six students, a boy named Lingala Rajasingham was left on the beach and survived.

In-charge SI Simhachalam, Marine CI Ambedkar and local fishermen have begun the search for the missing three boys. District SP Ammi Reddy immediately arrived at the scene and inspected the location. The students talked to Abdullah and Rajasimha and learned regarding the event.

DSP Murthy, Srikakulam Town CI Lalitha, Tehsildar Jenni Rama Rao and Marine SI Jagan were among the others who arrived at the scene and are investigating how the accident happened.Meanwhile, there was a gloom of sadness at the beach when the bodies of the two boys were taken out of the sea. The parents of the missing boys were seen eagerly awaiting the news of their children.
