Bangalore: Seven youths were arrested here on Monday for dressing up as ghosts and intimidating people on the streets. All arrested persons are between 20 and 22 years old.

According to police, the boys were charged under various bail provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), but they were later released on bail. The boys were charged with criminal threats, wrongful sanctions and contempt of intent to provoke a breach of the peace.

According to reports, the incident surfaced when a policeman spotted boys trying to intimidate passers-by and sleeping on the streets. The same video is going viral on social media.

Some of them have been identified as agricultural students, while others have worked with private companies after graduating, according to police.

“He was acting as a joke video for his YouTube videos and wanted to increase the popularity of his channel,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Shashi Kumar told a daily.

According to local police officials, the group also frightened people taking vehicles to the train station. The DCP also pointed out that approaching any two-wheeler group at high speed could result in an accident that could result in loss of life.
