Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed, an Emirati politician and member of Al-Nahyan, passed away on November 18, 2019, from the ruling family. He was 62 years old.
According to a report published in the Gulf Times, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Prince of the United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces led the mourners to perform the funeral prayer. Funeral prayers were held at Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed’s first mosque in Abu Dhabi.
His Highness Members of the Supreme Council and the ruler of the UAE, Shaykh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed al-Qasimi, Sheikh Hameed bin Rashid al- Nuaimi of Ajman, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed al-Sharqi of Fujairah, and Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Mallah of Um al-Qawain. And Shaykh Saud bin Saqr Al-Qasimi of Rasool al-Khaimah was offered prayed.
Shaykh Sultan bin Zayed, the younger brother of the president, passed away during the treatment abroad.
Many Americans also paid tribute to him. The oldest of them was Saif Dajish Al Dhaheri, a 75-year-old Emirati.
Earlier, India’s Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi also condoled the death of Sultan bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
