SHADNAGAR: A burnt body of Priyanka Reddy was found on Thursday morning in Shadnagar of Ranga Reddy district.
According to initial police reports, they received a call from the locals at around 7.30 am that a burnt body of a woman was found near the under construction bridge of Chatanapalli village near Outer Ring Road in Shamshabad.
Police have identified the body as a veterinarian doctor named Priyanka Reddy, who was said to be working in a hospital in Madhapur and was living in Nawabpet near Kollur in Shadnagar. Preliminary findings suggest she may have been murdered elsewhere and his body left under the bridge. Her bike was also found close to the body and they were able to identify him based on the documents contained in the vehicle.
According to her family details, she called her sister at 8:22 pm on Wednesday and said that her two-wheeler was punctured and she was alone on the road. She said that two people had offered to help her recover. She said she was afraid because no one was around and they had not yet returned with her vehicle.
The victim’s sister asked her to leave the vehicle and go to the nearest toll gate (Tondupalli) and wait there. But Priyanka had said that if she stands there in the evening hours it will look very strange and if that person is not able to fix it then she will fix it or leave it there and come back home. After the call was over, his family members did not get any calls from her.
According to the information of her sister, she said that she was very scared due to being alone on the road. Police are investigating from various angles whether she was raped and burnt alive. They are also investigating CCTV footage located near the toll gate for more clues.
