“People out of Control” Tension At Shamshabad Police Station, Locals Demand Encountering Accused In Priyanka Reddy & Another Women Murder

TELANGANA: Tensions erupted at Shamshabad police station on Saturday when hundreds of people, mostly locals and students, held a rally or “teach a lesson” at the police station demanding to face veterinary doctor Dr Priyanka Reddy and the accused in the murder case. A large number of students and residents from nearby areas gathered at the police station where the accused were taken into custody. Police had a hard time coping with the protesters as they sat on the street in front of the police station and tried to ring.

Most of the protesters have demanded that the four accused be punished severely, with no recurrence of the incident. At one point, locals and students tried to force entry to the police station and chanted slogans to seek justice for the victim.

Police prevented people from entering the police station, resulting in a clash between the police and the protesters.

According to police, the suspect will be taken to the hospital for medical examination first and then to the fast track court, for which he has deployed forces so that the unfortunate incident does not occur near the police station while transporting the suspect.
