ELURU: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday inaugurated the YSR Aarogyasri Pilot Project in Eluru, West Godavari district. A total of 10 million people will be benefited under the YSR Healthy Scheme. The Chief Minister spoke to the needy through a video conference. It is well-known that under the scheme a total of 1,059 medical illnesses have already been covered and the government is taking steps to include a thousand more people.
Jagan Mohan Reddy monitored the stalls in the premises of the stadium and doctors performed eye checkups.
Just before the start of the scheme, Chief Minister Jagan also inaugurated a bronze statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar in the Vangayagudem of Eluru Mandal. Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani, Minister for Women and Children Welfare, Teneti Venita, Minister for Housing, Cherukuvada Sri Ranganadha Raju and other MLAs, MLCs and senior officials attended the event.
Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy reminded that YS Rajasekhara Reddy had started an aromatic scheme which completely changed people’s lives. He added that if the medical bill crosses Rs 1000, then Aarogyasri will apply. He said that the YSRCP government will always lend a helping hand to the poor. Jagan Mohan Reddy is making big plans and trying to maintain all his constituencies.
