JNU violence: At least 9 people told to join investigations from today, say Delhi Police sources

New Delhi: Delhi police sources said Monday that nine people have been asked to join the investigation in connection with the January 5 violence at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The people to whom Delhi Police has given notice will be interrogated at JNU. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has identified the masked woman, who appeared in violence videos in JNU, who was identified as a Delhi University student. According to Delhi Police, they will be given notice shortly to join the investigation. On 5th January 2020, more than 30 students were taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre after a masked mob entered the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus, and attacked the staff with sticks and rods.
