New Delhi: The Proteas betting wizard AB de Villiers has been praised by many of the best fielders of his generation and has truly inherited the great legacy of fielding South Africa. It is not surprising that de Villiers has the record of scoring the fastest 50, 100 and 150 runs in ODI cricket. He scored his war-hit by scoring a ton of 31 balls against the West Indies in Johannesburg.
In the same innings, he scored the fastest fifty off 16 balls. The former South African cricketer scored the fastest ODI 150 in 64 balls against Windies in the 2015 World Cup.
For the record, he is South Africa’s second largest ton-maker behind Hashim Amla. He was also second in the ODI milestone at 8,000 and 9000 runs, which gave a remarkable consistency in scoring runs against standard opponents all over the world.
Former South African captain de Villiers retired from international cricket in May 2018 after a brilliant career, playing 114 Tests, 228 ODIs and 78 T20 matches in 14 years.
For the natural athlete who specialized in numerous sports such as rugby, athletics, swimming and tennis during his teenage years, he chose cricket and joined South Africa’s greatest cricketers in all sports formats.
